Don’t let anyone tell you that leadership is all about polished wins and flawless success stories.

Here’s the truth… leadership isn’t just about reaching the top. It’s about the journey…. the real, raw, sometimes messy path that takes you there.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it… I know firsthand how it feels to be the only woman in the room, to fight imposter syndrome, and to work within systems that weren’t made for people like me.

I’ve faced challenges like….

• • Being young and feeling unprepared to lead, despite having the natural talent.

• • Not having the technical or “power” skills to navigate office politics.

• • Struggling with my voice—sometimes too strong, sometimes too defensive, but never calibrated for the moment.

Lack of mentorship and sponsorship, especially as a woman of color. Too often, I ended up abandoned mid-stream, unsupported by the very people who were supposed to guide me.

These struggles led me to create She Rises… to amplify the stories of women who aren’t afraid to be vulnerable, who face challenges head-on, and who rise from them.

She Rises isn’t just a podcast… it’s a space for real leadership stories, practical tools, and a community that empowers women to face their own challenges, gain confidence, and step up as leaders.
