I used to wonder if I could really make it as a leader. There were days when I felt overwhelmed, unsure, and even unqualified.

As a woman, I have faced the challenges of being the only one in the room, battling imposter syndrome, and navigating systems that weren’t built for people like me.

Some of the biggest challenges I faced included:

• Youth and lack of experience…. feeling unprepared to lead despite having the talent.
• Lacking the technical “power skills” needed to navigate workplace politics.
• Struggling with my voice, sometimes too strong, sometimes too defensive, but never calibrated for the moment.
• A lack of sustained mentorship, especially as a woman of color, many leaders didn’t know how to support me fully, and I often ended up abandoned midway.

So, through She Rises, I’m creating a space where women can see themselves reflected in leadership stories, gain practical tools to overcome obstacles, and connect with a supportive network.

It’s about converting every challenge into a stepping ladder for success.

She Rises is for every woman who has faced the same struggles I did, and it’s time for us to rise together.

I’m working for the next generation of women leaders…. younger women, who are not only prepared to lead effectively, but can also empower others to do the same. 

I want to learn from you, just as much as I want to teach you. When we work together, we can create a cycle of leadership, mentorship, and success.
